When Angelica Sousa and Sylvia Krauss-Grimm, co-founders of New York City–based interior design studio Veda Design, were cast on Hulu’s That Thrifting Show, they had less than a week to prepare for one of the most chaotic and creatively demanding experiences of their careers.

The pair, known for their vintage-forward interiors and highly personalized approach to design, were selected after multiple rounds of interviews for the series, which follows designers competing to transform secondhand and thrifted pieces into elevated spaces under strict budget and time constraints.

For Angelica and Sylvia, the experience reflected much of what defines Veda Design’s work today: creative problem-solving, instinctive sourcing, storytelling through interiors, and a belief that meaningful spaces do not have to come from luxury showrooms alone.
